“Luigi” is a contemporary and sculptural work that plays with the expression of the face and its many subtleties.
It is characterized by a bust with personality and highly defined features, a set of facial expression that is on the border of seriousness and sketched smile, without being a definitive expression.
The work revolves around the controversial work “La Gioconda”, the smile/no smile. This time formalized as a male and contemporary aesthetics: young man, thin, with long hair tied in a bun.
She is endowed with a gaze that seeks to communicate with the viewer and makes direct eye contact when she meets him, through her gaze and the outline of a smile, which, while still containing a serious and observant personality, conveys a feeling and a message that remains in the link between the two.
